San Francisco - October/November '04:

Our resort exchange this year was to the Donatello Hotel in downtown San Francisco. The city was beautiful.

Looking down one of the many hills at downtown with the Transamerica Building in the center.

The "most crooked street in the world", Lombard, with its seven switchbacks.

The "Painted Ladies"; stately Victorians off Alamo Park.

Following the '89 earthquake, a huge group of sea lions moved into the water off the end of commercial "Pier 39". They were really entertaining.

The incredible old growth red woods in Muir Woods north of San Fran.

Looking down another hill to the water front.

The Yerba Buena Gardens with the Museum of Modern Art in the background.

A tunnel through a hill - note the over/under.
